In an exciting collaboration, Bakogiannis School recently hosted the YouthPlay Project event, a dynamic initiative fostering environmental awareness and sustainable development among students.
Introduction to the Youth Play Project:
The event kicked off with an introduction to the innovative Youth Play Project. The project harnesses the power of game-based learning to instill essential knowledge about environmental preservation and the fight against climate change.
Interactive Learning Experience:
Students between the ages of 14, played the Greek version of the game and delved into a captivating gameplay experience designed to encourage critical thinking about their environmental impact. Through a series of questions and challenges, participants made choices that directly affected the virtual environment. Each decision provided valuable insights into the consequences of individual actions, making the learning experience both engaging and impactful. Students got really impressed with the game, especially with the qr codes and loved that they were learning through fun. It lasted around 45’ minutes for each class, and the whole-time kids were focused on trying to learn more and more and be the winner.
Despite that the game has a winner kids played cooperative and tried to help their fellow friends to gain points too and learn all together for the environment. Kids were impressed on the amount of what they knew and what they didn’t know and after the game, all together wanted to stay aware and help the environment as much as they can.
